Plano Convex Lenses - Fused Silica, Fused Silica for excimer laser Spherical plano convex lenses of fused silica are mostly used for UV monochromatic lights. Fused silica (SLSQ) has almost same performance of transmittance with BK7 in visual and near IR, but has higher performance than BK7 in UV. Especially fused silica for excimer laser (SLSQK) is the material that are suitable for 248nm of Kr*F.
