Traceabilities

With wider acceptance and implementation of the ISO9000 quality management system, the importance of traceability in quality management has grown.

Sigma Koki's products are polished and offer guaranteed accuracy, based on a traceable interferometer. Additionally, Sigma Koki recently established a new inspection system for guaranteeing other inspection items based on traceable instruments. The new system guarantees the profile regularity of flat polished products, the parallelism of precision parallel plates, and the transmittance of vacuum deposition products and filters. The instruments used for inspecting these products are periodically calibrated based on appropriate standards by the manufacturer and calibration organizations.

Inspection Capabilities

1. Reflected wavefront of optical flats.
2. Reflected and transmitted wavefront of optical parallels or wedged substrates.
3. Parallelism of optical parallels.
4. Transmittance of coating products.

Surface Aaccuracy

Surface accuracy is measured by an interferometer, which employs the interference effect of He-Ne laser.

Notations "substrate flatness" and "surface accuracy" used in our catalog are both defined by reflecting wavefront of uncoated substrates.
